Sandra began her musical training at age five on the piano and continued lessons through college. From seventh through twelfth grade she also studied the viola, and in college she chose to focus on and excel in the violin. She earned a BS in Music Education from Grambling State University in Louisiana and performed with several school and regional string ensembles and orchestras during her studies. For more than 30 years she has shared her love of music as a private instructor, guiding many students who have gone on to pursue their own musical goals.
